Things move at warp speed these days. I wake up in the morning and then whoosh!!! the day is over. Does that happen to you too?

It’s not our imagination. Between email, voicemail, twitter, facebook, and meeting people in real life (still the best route), the day just flies by.

A few years ago, some creative people made a video called “Did You Know?” If you’ve never seen it, it’s well worth your time. You can view it on YouTube here.

And now there’s a 2009 version. Take a peek at it below.

    Thanks for posting the video-I hadn’t seen it before. I agree with you, it’s utterly amazing how fast things are going and how much technology has made it possible for us to do.

    I remember how thrilled I was to get a hand held calculator in my early college days when the price finally fell to a reasonable $100. The only function it had was “add.” Chemistry classes still required a trusty slide rule!

    The first PC for my business had 64K memory and I was in heaven. With a spreadsheet, a database, and a word processor, I thought I could do anything.

    Today I have a myriad of small electronic devices (and more iPods than my granddaughter) that allow me to work from almost anywhere.

    But it’s almost to the point where things are changing so rapidly that I almost wonder if my blog post today will be obsolete tomorrow.

    I wonder if my readers (and yours) feel the same way.

    What suggestions do you have for how we can keep providing valuable content that doesn’t get stale overnight and what do you think are the best ways to stay connected to the small business owners we want to serve?

    Sheryl — Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Loved those stories about your calculator and pc. I remember when too. The way to keep your content valuable is to focus on the staples for helping other small business owners — issues like marketing, finances, customer service, etc. The tools may change, but the basics will always pretty much be the same.
