A little about me and why I do what I do. For over twenty years, I worked for a large Fortune 500 company helping company leaders, departments and teams create and put their plans into action to make change happen. That’s where I gained much of my experience.

I began my consulting firm in 1996 because I saw small businesses struggling everywhere I looked. We wear so many hats and sometimes it just takes a little help from an “outsider” to kick us in the right direction.

I’ve worked with hundreds of small business owners over the years. You are a hardy lot. Your enthusiasm and ability to overcome huge obstacles inspires me.

In 2004, I started my first blog Just for Small Business. In 2005, I was invited by AllBusiness.com to move it to their site. It’s been an honor to share my advice there with all the small business owners seeking help.

That’s how my publisher, Wiley.com found me. They were interested in the writing I’d done about cash flow issues in small business and in 2006, my book Small Business Cash Flow: Strategies for Making Your Business a Financial Success was published. It’s a helpful guide that covers everything from hiring an accountant to ways of finding cash, to pricing your products / services, to marketing your business. Your bottom line – the cash in your business – is what will make your business a success. More businesses fail because of insufficient cash flow than for any other reason.
