You’ve been in business for a while and you’re successful. How did you get there? You wore whatever hat was required at the moment. You’re a “hands-on” type of person. You could dig into something new in a flash. Although admirable and required for anyone that starts a business, this strength becomes your weakness if you are trying to grow.
There’s no one in the world that has more than 24 hours a day. Trying to be all things to all people subjects you to burnout and can risk the great business reputation you’ve worked so hard to build.
So what do you do? Practice the art of delegation. Just because you are capable of doing something doesn’t mean you should. Put the “nobody can do it better than me” thoughts on the back burner. Consider hiring staff or outsourcing the task. It’s not always cheaper or wiser to do it yourself. Let it go and help your business grow.
How do you do it? What are you struggling with? Leave me a comment and let’s talk about it.

Struggle with marketing!
Hi Jimmie — yes, you and a million other small business owners. Look at it as helping others and it may be a bit easier for you. Think about what you might do if a cherished friend ask for advice. Then leverage that solution into marketing for your business.
