My Best Kept Secrets – #1 – Paul Myers of Talk Biz News

With so many people bombarding the online world, it’s hard to know who to trust these days. One key to your success is to find a handful of people you trust, then engage and embrace their philosophies to move your business along. This new series will show you who has helped me be successful during my 11 years on the internet.

Back in 1998, email lists and ezines were a lot different. They truly offered genuine tips and tools to help you grow your business unlike today’s world where giving up your email address could subject you to a mailbox full of Buy This Now! offers.

One of the people I encountered in my early days on the internet was Paul Myers who writes Talk Biz News. Paul is a straight shooting small business owner who has helped many people create successful sales campaigns and someone who readily shares his knowledge about what works and what doesn’t. Over the years, I’ve invested in a few of Paul’s products and they’ve always been right on target.

Paul gives away a lot of free information. All you have to do is put it into action. And that’s the biggest obstacle for most people. In his ”Need to Know“ ebook, he spends the first chapter — Becoming Unstoppable — walking you through the process of identifying what you really want. He starts out with a strong point, “You are exactly where you’ve wanted to be all along” and hammers home the message that you are in charge of your future. Exactly.

The biggest reason many people don’t achieve their definition of success is because of failure to take action. I have found that to be true over and over again in my work with small business owners and entrepreneurs. Paul’s book covers a lot of other topics and it is a really good read to get you moving into action mode to create the future you really want.

If you don’t have his book, it’s worth giving up your email address to get it. He won’t bombard you with trash. He doesn’t run on a schedule, but each of his mailings are loaded with food for thought and things you can act upon right now. If you want good, solid advice from a trusted source hop on over and pick up a copy of Paul’s book – Need to Know – right now. You won’t be disappointed.

Hi Denise – Thanks for the information, I will check out Paul’s site and give the e-book a try. I completely agree that success is subjective, and that failure to achieve success is a result of inaction.

Earlier in my career I had heard the saying “knowledge is power” repeatedly. This became a common saying, however I had later heard “the application of knowledge is power.” This took into account what you said in your article – Knowledge for knowledge’s sake isn’t of much value without the knowledge, ability, and willingness to apply said knowledge.

You bet John. It’s the action that counts. Paul is the real deal. I’ve been following his work since the late 90s. A few years ago I meet him in person – a real treat!

I checked out Paul’s landing page which is well done and promotes the e-book well. I downloaded the e-book and look forward to reading it – Thanks again for the tip!
