Three Ways to Make Sure Your Press Release Goes Directly to Trash

Is It Worth My Time To Have A Publicity Plan?

You bet it’s worth it! Publicity via news releases and building relationships with reporters and editors is really good for your small business.

As one who is adamant about “it’s not who you know, it’s who knows you,” news releases play a big part. Plus getting publicity helps establish you as an expert in your specialty.

Amazingly, much of the news we read in the newspaper on a daily basis started with a news release. It’s critical you have publicity activities and news releases as a part of the marketing plan for your small business. Plus most news organizations now post news online, so you get the added exposure there too.

I’ve worked hard over the past few years to make publicity a part of my small business marketing plan and it’s paid off — I’ve been on radio shows, television and called on as an expert to provide comments for articles that appear in the magazines my target market reads — Inc, Entrepreneur, Start Up Journal, and many more.

It can happen to you too.

But it takes consistent effort and action just like every thing else that will make you successful in your business.

Some Examples To Browse

  • Take a look at my Articles Page and read some of the articles — they are all the result of a consistent public relations effort.
  • I have a quick PR Primer presentation you can view that will provide you with the tips you need to get started.
  • If you need more press release examples to work from, head on over to my News Room and study the news releases to help you write yours.
